SHFT Mobile Kitchen Classroom is a new nonprofit organization that provides high school students in New York City with the opportunity to learn basic cooking skills and prepare healthy, affordable, and delicious meals. Under the effort, SHFT will operate a fully-equipped, mobile teaching kitchen that will travel to schools, health fairs, and other sites in order to teach about food, nutrition, and cooking. The mobility of our kitchen classroom will also allow students to connect with the broader community through cooking demonstrations and other food-focused events.
