2017 Young Farmers Conference at Stone Barns Center for Food and Agriculture

It was another amazing few days on the farm at Stone Barns learning about farming, food and agriculture from some of the best people on the planet. There were some pretty serious discussions too around equality and land reform that got directed at Mark Bittman. I'm not sure the question that sparked the discomfort was as clearly stated as intended so I don't entirely think Bittman was at fault for his answer, but the idea behind the discussion is important and needs to be brought to the forefront.

Urban Stages Production Stills

I always love photographing production stills for off broadway theater productions and I'm especially happy to help smaller theaters like Urban Stages. I use a remote camera to photograph straight shots of the stage to document the lighting and stage design and then move around the front row to capture the actors in more detail

Yintech Nasdaq Advertisement

A Chinese company called Yintech recently hired me to photograph a commercial that they ran on the facade of Nasdaq in Times Square. The advert ran twice an hour and had 46 portraits presented during the complete commercial that was split into two 30 second slots. They needed video and stills shot of the entire campaign. that ran both on Nasdaq and Reuters during the day and at night.

Hexindai IPO at Nasdaq

Chinese company Hexindai ring the opening bell and celebrate their IPO at Nasdaq on November 3, 2017 in New York City (Photo by Ben Hider) After many years of being the house photographer at the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) it was great to photograph the IPO process at Nasdaq and see how the first trade happens when there is no trading floor. It's quite an organized and civilized process that Nasdaq handle perfectly.
