Being an event photographer in New York City is always an adventure. Every event is different, whether it's a corporate gathering, a glamorous party, or a casual celebration, the energy of the city makes each moment special. I love capturing those little details that make each event unique—the smiles, the candid reactions, the vibe of the crowd. It’s all about blending into the background while still being in the perfect spot to catch the magic. I’m lucky to work in a city where every corner has a new story to tell! It’s not everyday that you get to drive across a runway for a photo. Huge appreciation and thanks to the team at the Port Authority and Ketchum for setting this one up
Photographing on the runway at JFK was a thrilling experience. There’s something really exciting about being so close to the action, capturing planes as they take off and land, with the hustle and bustle of the airport in the background. The energy of the space, combined with the precision of the operations, made for some truly dynamic shots.
The challenge of photographing fast-moving planes required a quick eye and the right timing to get the perfect shot. It’s not every day you get to stand on a runway and shoot these massive machines in motion, so being able to document that moment felt special. Between the dramatic lighting, the sleek designs of the aircraft, and the endless movement of the airport, it was a unique shoot that kept me on my toes and reminded me of the excitement that comes with capturing moments in such a fast-paced environment. It was a fun and unforgettable experience, and I’m always looking for more opportunities to photograph places with that kind of energy.
