Photographing Chef Marcus Samuelsson for the Associated Press was a great experience, and I have a lot of respect for him as a chef. His approach to food is so unique—he blends different cultural influences with a focus on local ingredients, and you can see how much thought and care goes into every dish. It’s clear that his dedication to the craft goes beyond just cooking; he’s genuinely passionate about what he does, and it shows in how he works.

Watching him in the kitchen, interacting with his team, and talking about his food philosophy gave me a deeper appreciation for the level of skill and creativity it takes to be at the top of the culinary world.
